MGS has an exciting opportunity for an IT Intern, Business System Analyst track to join our team. As a IT Intern, you will assist and support the IT team with a hands-on view to learn the process-oriented side of IT with exposure to requirements and work performed in the analysis, design, implementation, and daily functional support of applications. The IT Internship program is intended to introduce college-level students to MGS and the world of IT within a medical manufacturing environment. The Student Intern will engage in a 10-12 week internship opportunity in the summer of 2025 and will have an opportunity to be exposed to multiple technologies and business applications and will assist or lead the efforts of designated projects.

The IT intern will be partnered with a Business Analyst as their primary mentor for the Summer Internship opportunity. The Business Analyst role works with key stakeholders within all business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies. Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business functions to resolve problems and capitalize on improvement opportunities and supports one or more highly complex business processes. Works on multiple projects as a project team member, often as a project manager.

The IT Intern will be coached on office and communication etiquette and will meet with their assigned MGS mentor weekly to discuss projects and questions. The IT Intern will have direct exposure to senior leadership team members and will be expected to complete a final report out to the MGS leadership team at the conclusion of their internship.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with a mentor to liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Learn organizational processes and procedures across multiple locations to gain an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities.
  • May assist in the collaboration with key stakeholders to analyze operations and gain understanding of business processes and identify areas for automation and process improvement.
  • May assist or lead the efforts of a business solution project which may include architecting and documenting technical solutions based on project requirements and industry best practices.
  • Possess a general understanding of technological trends
  • Assist in FDA software validation activities.
  • Assist in documenting key IT system processes and procedures for future reference and general knowledge sharing.
  • Assist or lead the efforts of designated projects
  • Any other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Second- or third-year student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, IT systems or equivalent is required.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
