Job Summary

Steel Point Solutions is seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to oversee business process analysis and optimization efforts while also serving as the Deputy Project Manager. This role combines leadership in process reengineering, technical expertise in automation and optimization, and project management support. The successful candidate will be instrumental in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing process improvements that enhance performance, streamline workflows, and drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Business Process Optimization:

  • Lead the documentation, analysis, and evaluation of current business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Develop and maintain Process Qualification Documents (PQDs) and Process Design Documents (PDDs) that outline detailed workflows, system interactions, and opportunities for automation.
  • Facilitate group work sessions with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Work with leadership to prioritize process optimization efforts and maintain a dynamic backlog of processes ready for improvement.

Technical Leadership:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of process automation solutions, ensuring efficient execution and performance.
  • Develop Test Design Documents (TDDs) to outline testing scope, roles, and methodologies to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Prototype process optimizations and create detailed technical documentation to support system integration, testing, and deployment.

Deputy Project Management:

  • Support the Project Manager in managing project scope, schedule, and resources.
  • Assist with project planning, risk management, and performance tracking.
  • Manage communication with key stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
  • Oversee the development and presentation of monthly status reports and participate in oversight meetings with the client.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma and other methodologies to recommend and implement process improvements that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of process changes and automation solutions.
  • Develop and track performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions and adjust as needed to meet project goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of experience in business process optimization, technical leadership, and project management.
  • Proven ability to design and implement process automation solutions.
  • Experience working in federal government contracting, particularly in procurement and process reengineering.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public Trust Clearance or higher preferred
  • PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile certification preferred.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field preferred

The salary range represents a general guideline; however, Steel Point Solutions considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

$99,000—$125,000 USD
