Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey, and Westchester County including emergency, transitional, and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position: Program Director
The
Program Director
manages the delivery of services to residents within the policies and guidelines of Volunteers of America. Location:
349 East 149th Street, Bronx, NY 10451 Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Master Social Worker, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a specialty in Mental Health, five years of relevant experience, and three years of supervisory experience. The position also requires a demonstrated ability to manage social service programs serving diverse client populations with substantial budget responsibility. In addition, it requires a reasonable combination of skills in the following areas: the design, operational oversight, and evaluation of program services, personnel management, budget development and control, property management, public relations, and governmental relations. Develop and market program services, and assist with writing RFPs. Manage program services for quality and consistency. Manage program personnel. Manage fiscal operations – i.e., overtime expenses. Manage program facilities. Manage community and governmental relations. Provide clinical supervision/oversight of program personnel. Perform other related tasks as assigned.
