Freight Broker The Freight Broker will be responsible for matching authorized and reliable transportation carriers to the shippers and coordinating all aspects of the freight transport process. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, an in-depth understanding of the transportation industry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: Freight Coordination: Arrange transportation and manage the movement of freight from origin to destination. Carrier Sourcing: Identify and qualify carriers, negotiate rates, and secure capacity for shipments. Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to ensure repeat business and foster long-term partnerships. Rate Negotiation: Negotiate rates with carriers and ensure competitive pricing for shippers. Documentation and Compliance: Prepare shipping documents, contracts, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements. Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to transportation delays, freight damage, and other logistics challenges. Tracking and Reporting: Monitor shipment progress, provide updates to clients, and maintain accurate records of all transactions. Market Analysis: Keep abreast of market trends, industry developments, and competitive landscape to provide strategic insights.
Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or a related field. Strong negotiation and sales skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
