Duties:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will be responsible for developing and deploying the strategic sourcing strategy for hardware/fastener commodity. The duties include rebalancing the hardware supply base and providing Kanban coordination with other CNH manufacturing plants. Developing technically and commercially competent supplier base for the hardware commodity to ensure on-time and quality materials. Managing key suppliers’ relationships with a focus on cost efficiency and long-term supply agreements. Supporting major projects on Next-generation Harvester combine and existing projects. Collaborating with the global commodity team to assist in lead supplier evaluation, selection, and sourcing for assigned commodities for all North American operations. Leading and supporting global sourcing projects. Supporting new product launch initiatives while developing and implementing cost reduction and sourcing strategies through leveraging parts for new platforms to meet program timing, cost, quality, delivery, and strategic objectives. Developing and implementing supply base management strategies both regionally and globally that lead to lower overall costs in terms of quality, lead time, delivery, service, and unit cost. Driving the selection of suppliers, negotiating, and maintaining performance of expectations. Negotiating, implementing, and managing long term agreements, while achieving commercial savings and raw material recovery to meet or exceed material cost and total cost reduction objectives. Supporting organization initiatives and facilitating supplier/engineering Value Analysis/Value Engineering activities to drive product cost savings and process improvement initiatives to achieve budget performance. Providing leadership through and understanding of the market for the assigned commodities, including monitoring industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, lead-times, technology and manufacturing capabilities of company suppliers and reviewing suppliers in the market that best meet expectations and objectives. Tracking, monitoring, and executing hedges at optimal raw material market conditions to minimize risk. Telecommuting permitted up to three days per week. Salary $101,200 – $130,625. Minimum Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology and Operations, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, plus 2 years of experience as a Sourcing Manager or related occupation. The 2 years of experience must include 2 years of experience with the following: 1) leading supplier agreement negotiations; 2) ensuring cost and quality targets are met; 3) monitoring and measuring supplier performance and compliance; 4) resolving quality and delivery issues with suppliers; 5) negotiating lead times and payment terms with suppliers; and 6) implementing sourcing strategies to achieve market competitiveness, collaboration, and quality improvement.
