The Hedge Fund Solutions team constructs and manages hedge fund strategies, portfolios, and solutions on behalf of institutional and high net-worth clients. The Hedge Fund Solutions group currently manages $24 billion of hedge fund investments and is staffed with approximately 75 employees.
Riverview Omni Fund LP (“Omni”) is a market and factor neutral multi-manager hedge fund within Hedge Fund Solutions. Omni launched in July 2021 and oversees approximately $2.5B AUM. The Riverview Omni team is seeking a Vice President OR Executive Director of U.S. Business Development, who will be responsible for identifying and evaluating fundamental equity relative value portfolio managers. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Fundamental Equities.
What You’ll do in the Role Opportunity Identification and Evaluation:
Support the investment process by identifying portfolio managers with compelling fundamental equity investment strategies.
Conduct strategy and market analysis to assess the opportunity set, participate in onsite meetings with portfolio managers to evaluate sources of return and risk, analyze portfolio fit, and thoroughly document results and support conclusions.
Investment Execution:
Establish investment thesis and prepare investment proposals and other materials required by the Investment Committee.
Collaborate with other functional areas in coordinating the various operational aspects of structuring and implementing investments.
Maintain comprehensive manager universes to facilitate peer group analysis and strategy research.
QUALIFICATIONS What You’ll Bring to the Role
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 7-10 years of work experience in financial markets.
Expertise in the equity long/short investment strategy, particularly market neutral.
Strong network of portfolio manager, buy-side and sell-side contacts.
Outstanding work ethic, self-motivated with good interpersonal skills.
Experience in a relevant discipline and/or CFA.
Genuine enthusiasm for financial markets.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel on a regular basis, approximately 20-25% travel required.

Wage Transparency Statement:
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $200,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
