SAIC is looking for a Business Development Director to support the growth of our Command & Control (C2) solutions. SAIC requires growth-minded professionals who think critically about business development and proactively create and shape opportunities through customer relationships well before competitors are aware. The BD Director will pro-actively create, shape, and help to win new contract opportunities. To enable growth, you will develop and manage a dynamic, multi-year pipeline of opportunities in various stages of maturity. This position reports to SAIC’s Business Development Lead for C2 within the Army Business Group (ABG). The location for this role is the Aberdeen, Maryland area. Other locations will be considered for ideal candidate with ability to travel frequently to VA/DC/Maryland as needed. Our BD Director will work as an integral part of the C2 market and will work closely in support of the VPs and PMs that provide program oversight of current and emerging customer projects. You will set high pWIN conditions for successful capture management and solution development through customer engagements and internal SAIC condition setting. The BD Director will collaborate closely with ABG leadership and VP Account Leads to create an overall strategy to maximize growth in the Army C2 domain. The BD Director will identify actions to target white space growth, shape and deliver short and near-term on-contract growth while also developing and shaping longer term contract growth. The BD Director will develop and execute customer call plans, assist with opportunity qualification, initial pursue/no pursue decision, teaming for specific opportunities, and actively assist with proposal development/reviews. The BD Director will recommend action plans for other members of the C2 Account team, and coordinate messaging and engagements between other SAIC business groups. The successful candidate will: Be conversant with Army C2; the ideal candidate has several years of C2 operational and/or technical experience with Army/DoD C2 initiatives and programs of record. Present a proven record of successful shaping technical opportunities in the US Army/DoD (standard contracts and single-award task orders are priority experiences over Multi-Award Contracts or multi-prime IDIQ victories). Demonstrate proven success in supporting on-contract growth. Show a proven record of executing unique approaches to lead generation and business growth evidenced through repeat customer advocacy, growth through referrals, and initiation of new contracts through progressive customer engagements. Be a proven self-starter with a high degree of discipline and attention to detail. Be results driven, participating in all aspects of a complete capture that results in the award of programs. Be team oriented - work well in a highly productive, highly accountable, small team environment. Demonstrate strong communications and interpersonal/soft skills. Qualifications Bachelors and eighteen (18) years or more of related experience in growing C2 portfolios, services and solutions growth, and creating/shaping/winning high pWIN contract opportunities. Highly desirable to have profit/loss experience in leading complex C2 contracts, and/or greater than five (5) years of experience in growth. Two or more years’ experience shaping and winning technical opportunities (C2 projects, captures); highly desirable for winning experience within Army PEO C3T, PEO IEW&S, PEO EIS, PEO Soldier, and associated DEVCOM organizations. Highly effective interpersonal skills working with technical leaders and business executives within SAIC, with DoD/Army customers, and with teammates and subcontractors. Be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance (active TS clearance is highly desirable). Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
