Endeavor Health , the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, seeks an exceptional full-time Primary Care Sports Medicine physician as the Division Head of Primary Care Sports Medicine.
The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Department of Family Medicine, the Department of Orthopaedics Leadership, and the NorthShore Orthopaedic & Spine Institute (NOSI) leadership team to recruit and clinically supervise the work of the Primary Care Sports Medicine Division including quality, patient experience, provider experience, productivity, and programmatic development.
Position Highlights
Ensure access for acute musculoskeletal conditions through the development and growth of the Orthopaedic & Spine Immediate Care program, and assist with further developing the referral of the continuity Primary Care Sports Medicine (PCSM) practices.
Develop relationships with professional, collegiate, high school, and club teams to provide PCSM in the community.
Ensure successful onboarding, training, and competency of Primary Care Sports Medicine physicians.
In collaboration with Orthopaedic surgeon subspecialists, create or facilitate the development of NOSI guidelines for common or serious musculoskeletal conditions and monitor standardization of practice as appropriate.
Work with the Operations team and Marketing to identify strategies and opportunities to increase awareness of access and offerings provided by the Division.
In collaboration with the Department of Orthopaedics and Department of Family Medicine Leadership, assist with monitoring the productivity and financial performance of the PCSM Division.
Provide input into strategic decision-making regarding the timing and growth of PCSM working closely with the Leadership from both the Departments of Orthopaedics and Family Medicine.
In collaboration with both the Departments of Orthopaedics and Family Medicine support the PCSM Fellowship leaders with recruitment and retention of fellows, promotion of faculty, and scholarly activities.
Contribute and support scholarly works, research, and grant awards that position the PCSM as a nationally recognized division and training center.
The ideal successful applicant will be board certified in Family Medicine by ABFM or AOBFP and will have completed fellowship training in Sports Medicine. Certification of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine is preferred.
