Major Position Responsibilities: Oversees and directs operations of all production areas to ensure that volume, cost, waste, and quality standards are achieved. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop overall production schedules, materials, and resource requirements to meet short and long-term production goals. Coordinates the flow of work through the department and ensures that department has sufficient levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriately. Monitors shift production metrics to identify and resolve issues and develop process improvements and best practices. Plans maintenance, turnarounds, and downtime for efficiency and speed. Establishes staff training processes, equipment, gear, and tool requirements to comply with health and safety regulations. Leads and directs the work of other managers and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.
Basic Qualifications: Required Education: Associate's Degree OR Equivalent Combination of relevant Education & Experience. Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree Discipline/Major: Business degree preferred Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 8-10 years’ experience in a relevant function Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Leadership skills. Capacity planning. Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM). Manufacturing operations management. Process optimization. Resource planning. Risk management. Safety policies and procedures. Performance metrics. Organizational goal setting. Strategic planning. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Team building. ERP systems. Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
