We are seeking dedicated and caring overnight Veterinary Assistants to join our team! In this role, you will support our veterinarians and technicians in providing the best possible care for our patients. We have immediate openings for overnight veterinary assistants. .

Shift and Schedule:

• Full-time
• 3–4-day work week.
• Weekends, holidays and on calls required.

Tasks:

• Provide care to our hospitalized and post-surgical patients, recording activities in the medical records

• Assist within the exam room by obtaining medical history, restraining patients

• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs

• Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital each day; clean equipment, kennels and facilities using chemicals and supplies; ensure the safe use of chemicals; complete laundry

• Organize work area and exercise time management skills to maximize personal efficiency within the practice.

• Prioritize tasks and handle multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner

• Carrying out or setting up procedures that do not require a veterinarian or veterinary technician

• Client Communication

• Additional duties as assigned based on position/department

• Veterinary Experience:1 year (preferred)

• Able to perform moderately physically demanding work, that requires lifting (up to 50 pounds)

• Must have reliable transportation

• Have great people skills

• Communicate Well in Person, Over Email, and on the Phone (speak clearly and write legibly)

• Love of animals and a passion to help and heal, first and foremost

• Good Work Ethic
