Job Description
Do you want to make a difference in the life of children and teens. Key is seeking both full and part-time Overnight Awake Shiftworkers to work together as a dynamic team in their residential group homes in Springfield, MA that serve up to 9-12 children/adolescents who are involved with the MA Department of Children & Families (DCF).
What you will do:
- Work overnight shifts from 11pm to 7am (approximately) that may include some weekend and holiday nights. SHIFTWORKERS MUST REMAIN AWAKE AND ALERT AT ALL TIMES.
- Monitor client safety in accordance with program procedures and protocols
- Conduct routine monitoring checks to ensure safety and well-being of high-risk clients
- Develop a positive rapport with the adolescents and program staff
- Provide behavior management and crisis intervention
- Assist clients in their morning routine to include meal preparation, hygiene and transportation to school
- Serve as a positive role model following Key’s guidelines regarding professional behavior
- Maintain written client records in accordance with agency policies and state regulations
What you will receive:
- Hourly wage: $24 per hour

What you bring:
- High school diploma or GED/HiSET, is REQUIRED
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid state driver’s license and legally registered and insured car for work use
- Due to the nature of the work and client needs, the Youth Counselor (Residential Caseworker) must have the ability to work a varied and rotating schedule with their team that includes days, evenings and some weekend shifts and full-time positions may exceed a 40-hour work week (that will include overtime pay).
