This role is part of the Global Systems and Analytics team and is responsible for leading the Business Operations Shared Service Analytics reporting supporting payables, expense management, sourcing, and cross-business support. The Global Analytics Lead will build a strategic vision and implement innovative and predictive analytics to support expense management initiatives across Citi organizations. This role requires a strong end-to-end understanding of complex functions (inclusive of payables, T&E, Staffing Office, Sourcing/Procurement, and Third Party Management/Supplier) and the ability to interpret high-volume data to support these functions and Citi Businesses.
Accountable for the delivery of analytics to global and regional businesses and geographic regions. Experience in problem-solving, including developing dashboards and reporting to help achieve internal business strategic goals.
Excellent communication skills are required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
Full management responsibility of a team, including management of people, budget, and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval. Primary Responsibilities Research and Production: Carry out critical research of current and future concepts of machine learning to experiment and drive new applicable innovative techniques within a non-traditional procurement space. Understand strengths and weaknesses of the data and have the ability to operate in the “grey” and make logically sound decisions with supported research. Data Modeling: Design and build efficient, flexible, and sustainable data models. Analysis: Provide analytic insights on model training, performance, and enhancement, and analytics across Citi geographies and businesses to drive strategic business planning. Visualizations: Develop comprehensive visualizations that support and grow a data culture within the organization. Bring to the forefront process and expense opportunities to assist with strategic conversations through compelling visualizations. Direct management of the Analytics team across multiple locations. Resolve complex and highly variable issues with substantial potential impact. Apply comprehensive understanding of data concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area. Direct subordinates' performance and make recommendations for pay increases, hiring, terminations, and other personnel actions. Required Qualifications: Knowledge/Experience: Highly motivated self-starter that takes initiative and has the ability to effectively organize, multi-task, and prioritize a wide array of projects. Strong problem-solving acumen with the ability to break down complex problems, specifically feature engineering knowledge for model development. Strong statistical and mathematical background with knowledge of supervised and unsupervised machine learning methods. Strong SQL coding skills. Procurement, Payables, Supplier Risk, and Operational knowledge preferred, but not required. Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with technical and non-technical audiences and work well in a team environment. Expert-level technical knowledge using big data tools and techniques to break down complex data problems and create robust data models. Expert-level business analysis skills to include problem-solving, decision-making, relationship building and management, detail-oriented, documentation management. Expert-level financial analytics knowledge to support insight analysis with the information available. Ability to work with data from many different sources to build a logical data flow to support data modeling. Analytical and statistical skills with the ability to recognize data patterns, work off data intuition, and continuously ask “why.” Strategic problem-solving and opportunity identification. Advanced communication/presentation skills as well as the ability to collect and share constructive feedback. Possess cross-cultural and cross-functional collaboration skills. Strong work ethic, good attitude, and team player. Qualifications: BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering. Competencies: Conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure, persists despite obstacles and opposition. Well organized when working under pressure. Ability to work and thrive in a flexible matrix organization with focus on networking. Navigates effectively in a changing environment where competing priorities require flexibility.
