We are seeking an Overnight Supervisor - Janitorial at a Ko'olina luxury resort. These applicants will be working with a team to clean the resort kitchens, lobby, pool decks, public areas, and restaurants.
Job Description
- Relaying information between their team and upper management,
- Guiding their team through daily work activities or projects and
- Monitoring employee performance to ensure maximum productivity
- Typical tasks include but are not limited too: sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, operating equipment such as pressure washers, buffers and auto scrubbers, etc.
- Clean restrooms and restock restroom toilet paper, hand towels, hand soap, and seat covers, etc.
- Cleaning kitchen countertops floors, walls, stoves, refrigerators, freezer, and small kitchen appliance, etc.
- Cleaning lobby and public area walls, floors, baseboards, ledges, furniture, carpets, etc.
- Cleaning pool decks, walk ways and lanai furniture, etc.
- Adhere to all company-related health and safety rules
- Be able to work efficiently and at a fast pace.
- Willingness and ability to participate in cleaning activities alongside staff as needed; this requirement emphasizes the hands-on aspect of the role and ensures that the Overnight Supervisor is not only overseeing operations but also actively involved in the cleaning process when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day supervision of janitorial crews promoting efficiency and creating a sense of teamwork.
- Use hands on supervision to ensure all employees understand and have the necessary information and tools to perform their duties successfully. Provide training and re-training where necessary.
- Ensure crews perform at or above standards acceptable to our clients including communicating staff performance with upper management and Human Resources.
- Focus on work sites to oversee workers and to meet with clients to discuss any unsatisfactory inspections, customer complaints or needs we can resolve.
- Exercise initiative to oversee custodial work, maintaining a high standard of safety, cleanliness, appearance, organization and efficiency.
- Read and understand Scope of Work and company policies.
- Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Driver’s License and reliable transportation
- 1-2 years supervisory experience OR the equivalent of education and training
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work Evenings, Weekends, Holidays and On-call
Hours: Overnight varied shifts starting as early as 9:00pm; typically 10:30pm to 7:00am shift
Pay: $21.50/hour, depending on experience
