Position Overview:
As a Security Officer at our Arlington, Virginia location, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at an office building. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle security-related situations with professionalism and calm. Shifts are available across the 2nd, and 3rd shifts, providing flexibility for part-time work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control entry and exit points for authorized personnel only
• Conduct regular patrols to maintain site security and deter unauthorized activities
• Write detailed incident and activity reports for each shift
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches
• Provide a professional and approachable presence when assisting clients, employees, and visitors
• Operate security equipment such as radios and CCTV systems
• Collaborate with fellow security personnel and local law enforcement if necessary

Qualifications:

• Valid DC SPO 
• Prior experience in security, report writing, and access control
• Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• De-escalation Training
• Physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism

Compensation & Benefits:

• Pay range: $21 to $23 per hour, based on experience
• Health benefits available after one year with the company
• Training opportunities, including CPR and basic security training, as well as on-the-job training
• Flexible scheduling to accommodate shift preferences

What We Are Looking For:

• Valid DC Special Police Officer Security License is required. DC SPO and Maryland Guard Card, preferred. 
• Strong communication skills and the ability to write clear, detailed reports.
• Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Experience in general security duties, patrols, and access control preferred.
• A dependable work ethic with a commitment to punctuality and reliability.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, and work overnight or rotating shifts as needed.
