Job Description
Casa Serena is a residential substance use, trauma and mental health treatment center for women only. We are currently looking to add creative, compassionate and innovative individuals to the team in the position of LVN!
As Santa Barbara's only licensed and accredited treatment program for women, we deliver high quality integral care in a collaborative team environment. Availability
Overnight (NOC): Must have open availability to work any 10 hour shift shift between 10:00pm and 8:00am Monday thru Sunday
Days and Evenings: Must have open availability to work any 8 hour shift between 6:45am and 11:15pm Monday thru Sunday
Primary Purpose and Function
The LVN oversees the patient’s activities by maintaining a structured environment within the facility. This position supports both the medical and clinical departments while providing a safe, positive environment for all patients.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Provide clinical, medical, and administrative support to all departments
- Perform direct patient care in the form of vitals, withdrawal assessments and medication observation
- Conduct UA drug screening
- Provide medication education
- Enter medications in the electronic medical record
- Observe and report client condition and behavior
- Provide accurate and medically minded documentation
- Maintain patient's electronic medical record
- Assist with crisis management as needed
- Conduct regular and high risk rounds
- Ensure compliance across all governing entities
- Assist all departments in providing a professional and compassionate environment
- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in a behavioral health treatment facility preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally with clients, administration.
- Valid driver’s license and current personal auto insurance.
- Clean driving record and insurable by our insurance carrier.
