Job Description
The Project Manager will lead and motivate a team in the day-to-day management of project safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, risk, suppliers, proposals, change orders, documentation turnover, client relations/management, field staff, and other duties required to execute the project. The Project Manager leads projects from inception to completion and may perform the role of Operation Manager for the Torrance office. The Project Manager is responsible for overall project execution and successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of a project by the Company policy.
Supervise the selection, contracting, induction, oversight, and monitoring of all aspects of the performance of subcontractors and sub-consultants hired for the project.
Negotiate the final terms and conditions of the Scope of Work (inclusions, exclusions, schedule, penalties, requirements) with the assistance of the Regional Manager.
Ensure the efficient, cost-effective utilization of staff.
Manage all aspects of project communication.
Develop and monitor project schedules, manage scope, and control project costs.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, master scope management, budget finances, subcontracting, project staffing, environmental compliance, facility support, and schedule attainment.
Manage the review, negotiation, approval, and execution of prime contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
Lead internal and external project risk reviews and consult with the Risk Department as required.
Manage project control efforts, including project cost reporting, scheduling, project set-up and closeout within the accounting system, and field progress tracking.
Adhere to Sixense’s safety programs, training, and policies, as well as promote and manage the safety and health performance of project team members and subcontractors.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff.
Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.
Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Ten (10) years of experience as a Project Manager in the Geo-Structural Instrumentation and Monitoring industry.
Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management, geology, or related degree from an accredited program.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding work environment, ability to work overtime on short notice.
Excellent computer skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office.
Ability to work collaboratively with others (owners, contractors, engineers, designers) in a multi-disciplined project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
Strong experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
Compensation Range
$105,000 - $130,000
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with all local/state regulations. The expected compensation range for this position is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and work location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate in our discretionary year-end incentive bonus program.
