You'll develop and implement commodity strategies, align development deliverables, benchmark suppliers, negotiate agreements, and resolve delivery, cost, and production challenges. Navigating a highly visible and dynamic environment, your strategic expertise in implementing initiatives will support commodity availability, quality, and cost to maintain Lam's reliability and competitive edge.What You'll DoThe Strategic Commodity Manager is part of the Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) organization who interfaces with suppliers and various organizations within Lam to address delivery, cost, and production challenges as well as managing risks for the overall commodity.In this position you will play a vital role managing suppliers in Mechatronics and OEM robotics space with core responsibility in cost, commercial negotiations and execution to strategic plans. You will work across the organization to formulate and execute the strategies, align goals and stakeholders, negotiate contracts and agreements, benchmark suppliers, and resolve delivery, cost, and production challenges.Manage supplier relationships, lead sourcing decisions, plan adequate capacity, evaluate performance and manage commodity risksBenchmark, develop, implement, and improve supply chain processes and infrastructure to support quality, scalability, and supply continuityWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders in the development of local and regional suppliersSome domestic and international travel will be required, up to ~10% of timeWho We're Looking ForBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or business; MBA or post-graduate degree in Supply Chain Management preferredTwelve (12) years of similar work experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or engineering preferably in semiconductor industryCreative thinking and strong problem-solving capabilitiesFormal or informal leadership role within a global matrix managed multi-site company with manufacturing and supplier operations spread over multiple continentsHas extensive experience interfacing with customers and suppliers and managing these relationships, knowledge of supply chain management business processes.Demonstrate proactive leadership in identifying problems, potential risks and mitigating those in advance of a critical situationExperience with Program Management, exhibit attention to detail, sense of urgency and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentOur CommitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
