Each member’s care is led by a dedicated Chief Medical Officer who collaborates on your behalf with specialists in cardiology, neurology, pediatrics, gynecology, endocrinology, performance, movement, and more. Our exceptional clinicians also work closely with the 60+ members of the Atria Academy of Science & Medicine, top experts in their respective fields who are available for rapid consults, support, and referrals.
Requirements
- Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: NPs/PAs perform comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests, to identify patients' health status and needs. They diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Treatment and Management: NPs/PAs provide primary and specialty care services, including prescribing medications, ordering, and interpreting diagnostic tests, and implementing therapeutic interventions. They manage chronic conditions, monitor patients' progress, and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize health outcomes.
- Health Promotion and Disease Prevention: NPs /PAs educate patients and families about health promotion strategies, disease prevention measures, and lifestyle modifications to improve overall health and well-being. They emphasize preventive care, such as immunizations, screenings, and health maintenance activities.
- Collaborative Care: NPs/PAs collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate patient care effectively. They consult with specialists, refer patients to appropriate healthcare providers, and facilitate continuity of care across healthcare settings.
- Patient Advocacy: NPs /PAs advocate for patients' rights, preferences, and interests by ensuring they receive safe, effective, and culturally competent care. They empower patients to make informed decisions about their health and treatment options, respecting their autonomy and dignity.
- Documentation and Recordkeeping: NPs/PAs maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes. They ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as organizational policies and procedures.
- Continuing Education and Professional Development: NPs/PAs engage in lifelong learning activities, including attending conferences, participating in workshops, and pursuing advanced certifications, to stay abreast of current evidence-based practices and healthcare trends. They strive for excellence in clinical practice and contribute to the advancement of nursing knowledge and expertise.
- Quality Improvement and Research: NPs/PAs participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care outcomes, promote best practices, and contribute to evidence-based practice. They may collaborate with researchers, publish scholarly articles, and present findings at professional conferences.
- Patient Counseling and Support: NPs/PAs provide counseling, guidance, and emotional support to patients and families facing health challenges, transitions, or life-changing diagnoses. They address patients' psychosocial needs, facilitate coping strategies, and promote resilience and adaptive coping mechanisms.
- Ethical and Legal Compliance: NPs/PAs adhere to ethical principles and professional standards of practice, maintaining confidentiality, integrity, and respect for patients' rights and dignity. They comply with legal and regulatory requirements governing nursing practice, licensure, and scope of practice.
Salary Range: $170,000 - $190,000
Qualifications:
- Current NYS License required as NP for specialty, or current NYS Licensed PA
- 2+ years’ experience as a practicing NP (BC) or PA-C
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Available for variable weekend on-call assignments.

- Internal Medicine and Family Medicine (Preferred).
