Materials Planner III
for its Missiles business unit. The successful candidate will plan, schedule, coordinate and track the flow of hardware and material throughout the manufacturing process, including fabrication, assembly, test and shipment; position controls jobs of moderate complexity with multi-level programs. This individual must be organized and results driven with great problem solving and analytical skills. The Production Control team applies leading edge theories and techniques to resolve complex and often unusual tactical issues impacting the department and programs. The Materials Planner will work on problems of project critical scope where there is significant impact beyond the confines of their own job and department. This position is located in San Jose, CA. However, we cannot provide relocation for this role. Responsibilities
Responsibilities: Fulfill demand requirements by examining Material Requirements Planning (MRP) indications Communicate material availability to procurement and ensure that need dates are met to release production orders Maintain configuration and serial control of production hardware Ensure the generation of pick lists, packing slips, and other shipping documents as required Flag and communicate production problems Responsible for requesting Customer Source Inspection (CSI) of hardware shipments Assure that planning data items are properly maintained in SAP, and are compatible with applicable program plans and schedules Support production programs by working with the program managers and production leads Collaborate in team meetings and activities Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices Qualifications
Qualifications: Minimum: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) in a manufacturing environment Intermediate Computer skills including Excel and Word (2-5 years) This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by US export laws. In order to be eligible for this position, you must be a “US Person” under US export laws (or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license) Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. Experience with Supply Chain concepts such as Purchasing, Logistics, etc. Excellent organizational, presentation and communication skills SAP experience preferred Advanced to Expert level in Excel and Power Point Manufacturing, Electronic or Aerospace industry background EMPLOYMENT TRANSPARENCY
