Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Product Owner to join our growing API team. As a Product Owner, you will have a vital role in shaping the product vision, strategy, and direction. Your responsibilities will include managing the product lifecycle using Agile methodologies, fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that our product sets the industry standard. Moreover, you will conduct thorough research to identify innovative product opportunities and provide valuable recommendations for new revenue streams. Previous digital product experience in the airline, hotel or travel industry would be highly beneficial. Exceptional organization and communication skills are essential for this role.
Essential Functions

- Product Roadmap Development: The Product Owner creates and maintains a product roadmap that outlines the planned features, enhancements, and improvements for the product over time
- Provide direction to the development team and stakeholders throughout the project
- Assess value, develop use cases/requirements, and prioritize epics, features and product items to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
- Managing the Product Backlog: The Product Owner maintains and manages the product backlog, which includes a prioritized list of user stories, features, and tasks that need to be developed. They ensure that the backlog is constantly refined, updated, and ready for the development team to work on.
- Plan and prioritize items in the Product Backlog to best achieve company goals and mission
- Work closely with Product Owners, Product Management and stakeholders to create and maintain a product backlog according to business goals and ROI
- Lead/Co Lead the product release planning and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
- Ensures the Development Team have enough items in the Product Backlog
- Ensures the Development Team understands items in the Product Backlog to the level needed
- Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
- Research and analyze market, the users, and develop the roadmap for the product
Qualifications
- Previous working experience in a Product role for 3+ year(s) is preferred
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban etc.
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Prior experience working in the hotel/airline/travel industry is a plus
- Attention to detail while simultaneously keeping the big-picture view in mind
- Curious and analytical mindset

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full time, Monday through Friday, normal core business hours and as needed on nights and weekends unless otherwise specified.
Supervisory Responsibility

Travel Requirements
Some travel (less than 15%) is expected for this position.
Compensation
Good faith annual salary for this position is $90,000 - $115,000 and is commensurate with experience.
