Manufacturing Maintenance Tech Salary: $28-$33/HR (Depending on Experience) Location: Austin, TX The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician's role is to support automation engineering services activities such as hardware, software design, and development. What a typical day looks like: Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and components and return to serviceability Maintain continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, replacing, or modifying automation/robotic system components Perform scheduled preventive maintenance actions on all subsystems and related components Ensure preventative maintenance of robotic and process support equipment is completed on a regularly scheduled basis. Understanding of PLCs Read and interpret electrical schematics, and mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings. Analyzes engineering test results and implements changes to resolve problems. Collaborate with the automation team in the qualification process of automated systems. Records procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or method. Maintains software, documentation, and equipment to the latest revision or operational specifications. Assists engineers in developing and designing hardware and software required for all automation solutions per specifications. Trains other technicians and operators on products, processes, and equipment. Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment Strong awareness of safety Required experience: Strong Electrical skills Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls skills Troubleshoot of manufacturing production equipment PLC knowledge Preventative maintenance Corrective maintenance Bearings replacement HMI The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Requires 2 years of related experience. Strong electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting experience Demonstrates advanced technical skills which may be used to conduct on-the-job training Highly skilled with the ability to move between projects. Demonstrates broad knowledge of functional techniques and has input to process improvement. Contributes to and improves techniques/ concepts. Assists in developing goals/targets of line or department.
