Job Title: Manufacturing Associate I
Job Description

Responsible for the manufacture of Master and Working Cell Banks and performing activities within production facilities to support the manufacture of Cell & Gene Therapy products, and final product fills according to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Responsibilities
  • Understand aseptic technique concepts.
  • Operate and maintain equipment.
  • Perform solution and material preparation.
  • Possess basic technical knowledge and background.
  • Participate in and perform technical transfer activities.
  • Assist with the execution of validation activities.
  • Receive and organize materials.
  • Identify and communicate material discrepancies.
  • Use support systems (e.g., LIMS).
  • Understand the concept of manufacturing processes and methods.
  • Collect and record scientific and process data per good document practices.
  • Follow compliance and regulatory requirements and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
  • Follow and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Follow and execute Batch Records (BRs).
  • Participate in the development of technical documents such as non-conforming events and deviations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School diploma with over 2 years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience (science preferred).
  • Hands-on academic experience within a lab.
  • Basic lab skills/knowledge required.
  • Experience in aseptic processing techniques.
  • Some understanding of regulatory requirements for a cGMP manufacturing facility.
Work Environment

Works in a production environment with exposure to latex and bleach. Will be working in a production laboratory. Holiday and shift work often required based on manufacturing schedule as determined by management. The company is growing rapidly, aiming to become the largest manufacturer of gene therapy products, with expanding construction in the commercial facility and a new site being built next door to the main facility. There are opportunities for rapid advancement based on performance rather than tenure.
