Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the post-harvest processes, including extraction, product formulation, packaging, and distribution. This role ensures efficient production workflows, product quality, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The Manufacturing Manager leads the production team, focusing on optimizing manufacturing processes while maintaining high standards in safety, efficiency, and product consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the cannabis manufacturing team, including extraction, formulation, packaging, and distribution.
- Provide leadership and guidance to supervisors and team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
- Ensure that staff are properly trained and adhere to safety protocols, SOPs, and quality standards.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and high product quality across all stages of post-harvest production.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for extraction, formulation, packaging, and distribution to ensure compliance with state and federal cannabis regulations.
- Monitor production KPIs, such as output, yield, efficiency, and waste reduction, and take corrective actions to meet targets.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to state and federal cannabis regulations and health and safety standards.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring that products meet internal and external quality standards.
- Work closely with compliance teams to ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and regulatory submissions.
- Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements in manufacturing operations.
- Implement new technologies and methodologies to improve product quality, consistency, and scalability.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains compliant and competitive.
- Inventory & Resource Management:
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, components, and packaging supplies to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to maintain stock levels and ensure timely deliveries of production inputs.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational efficiency.
- Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibility:
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and cannabis-specific safety regulations.
- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the manufacturing team.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.

- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in the cannabis industry or a regulated environment.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale production operations with a focus on quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Experience with cannabis extraction and product manufacturing is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of cannabis manufacturing regulations and industry standards.
- Expertise in process improvement and operational efficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and production management software.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year

- 8-hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
