Forward March Inc.,is partnering with a leading company in Aerostructures and is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. Forward March Inc. partners with this Aerostructures company in West Lafayette to manufacture aircraft for the United States Airforce. We are looking to fast track veterans, military spouses, transitioning service members, and currently serving Guard/Reserve members to a great career opportunity!

The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design and production, to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. You will utilize your technical expertise to identify areas for improvement, develop and implement solutions, and monitor the effectiveness of these initiatives.


Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and improve manufacturing processes to optimize productivity and quality.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures, such as reducing waste, improving workflow, and increasing automation.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure that manufacturability and production efficiency are considered in product design.
  • Conduct time studies and capacity analyses to establish production standards and identify bottlenecks.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product transitions and successful new product launches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer preferably in Aerostructures
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Must be able to travel internationally
