This is a full-time, on-site position. 

 

Job Description:

  • Lead manufacturing team in the scale-up, automation, and implementation of electronic device manufacturing processes.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to identify value, map the value stream, and create optimized manufacturing process flow.
  • Work with other engineers, SMT technicians, and assembly workers to streamline production and ensure that products meet quality standards.
  • Apply root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot process issues and improve manufacturing quality and throughput.  
  • Provide technical assistance, training, and manufacturing support to the electronic hardware manufacturing team.
  • Layout and analyze process flow using process flow diagrams, control plans, and time studies to identify and implement manufacturing process improvements.
  • Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
  • Develop and drive manufacturing process changes through Medical Device Engineering Change Control Process
  • Write manufacturing process specifications and SOPs as required and develop and deliver training to operators and supervisors.
  • Draft and implement process validations including IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols with risk assessments and design history file information.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on manufacturing process metrics.
  • Support the implementation of company MES and ERP applications software.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of demonstrated success in Manufacturing Engineering in electronic device assembly or related field strongly preferred.
  • BS., Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Automation disciplines strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience working in SMT and Electronic Hardware Manufacturing strongly preferred.
  • Skills in utilizing principles of Lean manufacturing, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kanban, & Kaizen required.
  • Proficient to excellent skills working in Solid Works, Windows OS & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Expected to spend most of their time on the factory floors and in other areas of the manufacturing facility.
  • Statistical and analytical skills preferred.
  • Must be organized and have excellent prioritization skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with different departments within the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, & work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities


Physical Demands

  • Due to the magnetic fields created by our pick-and-place machines, for safety reasons, employees in this role cannot have a pacemaker or ICD. Applicants will be asked during the interview process if they are able to safely work on these machines.
