The Manufacturing Engineer supports and sustains production processes, driving improvements through established design control, engineering practices, and documentation. This role involves collaborating on projects, implementing solutions, and supporting manufacturing systems to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
· Enhance manufacturing systems, focusing on uptime, quality, and scrap reduction.
· Serve as a technical expert for production lines and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
· Develop and optimize manufacturing tools and processes, ensuring robust performance.
· Support and manage projects, adhering to timelines and budgets.
· Conduct root cause analyses and develop technical solutions.
· Collaborate with Quality Engineers for process qualifications and validation.
· Create and update manufacturing documentation.
· Assist in training employees on procedures, equipment, and techniques.
· Deliver clear and effective communications to managers, peers, and cross-functional teams.
· Familiarity with automation, plastic injection molding, part assembly, and process control techniques.
· Proficiency in Six Sigma methodologies, including DOE, Process Capability, and Gage R&R.
· Proficiency in SolidWorks and technical writing.
· Basic understanding of medical device industry regulations (FDA QSR preferred).
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
· Professional office and cleanroom settings.
· Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work in cleanroom environments and handle controlled materials.
