Responsibilities:
1. Manufacturing IT Systems Support
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of IT solutions for manufacturing shop-floor operations.
- Provide comprehensive support for manufacturing systems and desktop computing environments.
- Collaborate with departments including Supply Chain, Warehousing, Facilities, Engineering, QA, and QM to document user requirements and support system improvements.
- Contribute to new system selection, implementation, and the design of business processes (e.g., e-logbooks, electronic batch record management, and electronic inventory systems).
- Develop and document functional and technical aspects of system integrations.
2. System Maintenance and Compliance
- Manage the lifecycle of assigned manufacturing IT systems.
- Maintain system documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GxP).
- Support incident resolution using Lean methodology and continuously improve system usage.
3. Serialization Systems
- Provide support for track-and-trace serialization systems, packaging, and labeling compliance.
- Assist with technical operations of serialization platforms (e.g., ACG/Systech, RfXcel).
- Enable new partner and product setups within serialization systems.
4. Desktop Support and Troubleshooting
- Address technical issues related to computer systems, software, phones, printers, and more.
- Resolve ServiceNow tickets through direct interaction or remote support.
- Install, modify, and repair hardware and software to minimize downtime.
- Provide training and create user documentation.
- Run diagnostics to optimize system performance.
5. Laboratory IT Support
- Address IT-related requests for laboratory environments.
- Support protocol execution for laboratory systems, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
6. General Responsibilities
- Adhere to confidentiality, company policies, and departmental procedures.
- Ensure all issues are logged, prioritized, tracked, and resolved appropriately.
- Contribute to overall system and process improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED – Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field – Required
- Experience & Skills:
- 5+ years of IT experience with a focus on manufacturing or related industries
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional customer service skills with a high level of professionalism
- Availability to work additional hours as needed and respond to off-hours requests via a company-provided phone
- Proficiency in regulatory compliance, including:
- 21 CFR Part 11, Data Integrity, cGMP, and cGDP (Intermediate)
- Good Practices compliance for regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals
- Familiarity with systems like electronic logbooks, batch record management, and inventory management systems
- Knowledge of serialization technologies for pharmaceutical packaging and distribution
- Experience with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and IT system support/maintenance
- Strong understanding of hardware and software systems
