Manufacturing Engineer Job Description

Tangent is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the cost, quality, and manufacturability of new and existing product lines. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be leading the initiative to ensure the successful and efficient production of our core products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•Work closely with the New Product Development team to transition approved designs into mass manufacturing in Fab and Assembly.

•Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and maintenance teams in Extrusion to ensure low cost, high-quality production is continuously at the forefront.

•Refine and scale the manufacturing process for our current and new products.

•Study production and machine requirements to identify areas for improvement.

•Develop and test effective automated and manual systems to optimize production processes.

•Design and install new equipment and systems to improve manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements:

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

•Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

•Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including extrusion, fabrication, and assembly.

•Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

•Proficient in CAD software and other engineering tools.

•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
