Position Summary:DSJ Global is seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, safety, and quality standards. This role involves recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, methods, and controls, with a strong focus on continuous improvement. The Manufacturing Engineer will coordinate manufacturing launches for new or revised products, prioritize process improvement, problem resolution, project management, and employee training.Key Responsibilities:Promote safety culture through toolbox talks, safety committee participation, and positive reinforcement programs.Research, design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment.Lead process improvement projects in support of continuous improvement plans.Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including setting goals, training team members, and evaluating results.Design, develop, implement, test, or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery, and equipment for safe manufacturing methods.Perform product/process analysis for safety, quality, and efficiency improvement.Maintain the cost of manufactured products by managing routings in the ERP system.Conduct internal time studies and validate manufactured processes.Support production tooling-related tasks.Determine root causes to eliminate safety and quality issues in the manufacturing process.Develop best practices for manufacturing methods and standardize across all sites.Work closely with quality assurance and maintenance personnel to prevent problems with products and equipment.Represent manufacturing and operations on cross-functional teams.Participate in and/or lead insource versus outsource analysis.Create and update work instructions to document manufacturing methods.Prepare and maintain detailed layouts of buildings and equipment.Ensure all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.Assist in the assessment of vendor/subcontractors and their processes.Participate and actively lead kaizen activities and Gemba walks.Communicate with management on any machine, maintenance, or engineering tasks that are in jeopardy of missing deadlines.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:Experience: 2 - 5 years in Manufacturing EngineeringEducation: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldSkills:2D/3D CAD experienceMetal machining experienceProject management experienceKnowledge of continuous improvement processesExcellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skillsSelf-starter, detail-oriented, and organizedAbility to prioritize and balance workloads in a fast-paced environmentExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
