Our client has three different divisions that primarily supply automated Semiconductor OEM's. The Precision Fabrication Group has the engineering expertise and the machining capabilities to make challenging components and assemblies. The Specialized Welding Group supports stainless steel gas lines and panels as well as vacuum process chambers. The System Manufacturing Group is a contract manufacturer that builds and tests complete systems for our customers.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of our products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and Account Management, to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity. Your expertise will contribute to the company's success by providing innovative solutions and continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Process Design and Development: Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes, including building out indented product structures, determining where sub-assemblies should be used, and how parts/kits should flow through Production.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that manufacturing processes meet industry standards, product specifications, and quality requirements. Collaborate with the Quality team to address any non-conformities.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process efficiency improvement. Share findings with Account Management and if approved, implement changes to reduce waste and increase productivity.
- Production Support: Provide technical support to the production team, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, to enhance manufacturing processes and optimize resource utilization.
- ECO Implementation: Work alongside Documentation Control to develop and execute ECO's and ensure clear communication throughout the organization.
- ERP: Leverage the ERP system to establish how materials are driven and flow through the facility.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including work instructions, procedures, and engineering specifications, to ensure consistency and repeatability in production.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential manufacturing risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Project Management: Manage engineering projects related to manufacturing process improvements, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or on-the-job experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering within a contract manufacturing organization.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and other relevant engineering tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
- Familiarity with ECO/ECN processes and controls.

- $125-$140k annually
