Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the processes and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include make vs buy decisions, ERP setup, and liaising between Design Engineering and the Manufacturing and Assembly teams to resolve issues..Job ResponsibilitiesAcquire a thorough understanding of internal and external (vendor) manufacturing processes and capabilities. Apply this knowledge to make manufacturing decisions (internal vs outsourcing).Ensure all internal manufacturing processes are well defined and documented in job travelers.Ensure all standard times for internal job processes and steps are captured and accurate.Ensure that all major furnace assembly jobs are adequately entered in Retech's ERP system.Resolve any internal manufacturing or assembly issues through communication with Design and Project Engineering.Resolve any vendor manufacturing issues through communication with Design and Project Engineering.Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that equipment manufacturer's procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational.Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and EducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace EngineeringPersonal Skills/Attributes Required for the PositionVersatile and willing to help the manufacturing team while also putting safety as a top priority.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers.Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail.Ability to be proactive and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Detail-orientated with ability to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
