Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Preparation Engineer, you will be responsible and working in the Chassis Assembly for all products being developed by the group and will be the main interface with cross functional groups. As a Manufacturing Preparation Engineer you will thrive to deliver a product that is secured and aligned with Company's Production System.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as Liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing ensuring that manufacturing requirements are implemented into new product designs during concept phases.
- Lead technical expertise in defined areas of moderate technical complexity.
- Lead all technical issues and work with design engineering team to solve issues.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of deliverables from various interfaces to ensure quality and readiness before release
- Work with the team on Spreading knowledge and developing competence within the team.
- Build and manage organizational networking providing project prerequisite inputs based on component history.
- Ensure production readiness and oversee the implementation of new designs and modifications in manufacturing facilities.
- Serve as a high-performance manufacturing engineer in specific areas, requiring creativity and innovation
- Participate on global manufacturing teams.
- Focus on accuracy and clear communication during product introduction.
- Adherence to internal and external standards, procedures, and processes.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant manufacturing policies and procedures (Ergonomics, Six Sigma, Packaging, Logistics, Standards, 5S, etc.) within the area of responsibility
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering with 4-6 years of automotive experience.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and utilizing CAD software.
- Expertise in SAFe Agile practices and methodologies
