Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPosition Summary:The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations, engineering project management, and manufacturing process improvement. This role will work closely with process engineering to develop, install and monitor equipment and processes to turn raw materials into end product.ResponsibilitiesEvaluates manufacturing processes; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. Acts as a support specialist for an operational area. Ensuring equipment vitality, and maintaining a working knowledge of the area's equipment. Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment to meet product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout. Develops solutions for new and existing products to meet customer and product needs.Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements. Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service. Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.RequirementsRequired Skills/AbilitiesMust have knowledge of computers, machining and assembly practices Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsHigh level of initiative, innovation, critical thinking and problem-solving skillsAbility to work cross-functionally & at all levels within the organization including senior leadershipAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage deadlines accordinglyCommunicate effectively and professionally both internally and externallyAbility to work under pressure to meet tight deadlinesExceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracy & organizationAbility to work as part of a team and excel independently in fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt quickly to changing circumstancesProficient with Microsoft OfficeRequired Education and ExperienceMinimum of bachelor's degree in engineering, with preference to mechanical engineering.Minimum of 4 - 5 years' experience in manufacturing engineering or a commensurate level of experience with related products.Preferred Education and ExperienceBackground in or working knowledge of personal care industry and cGMP'sPhysical DemandsRegularly required to sit, stand, walk, climb and bend about the facility.Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment including a respirator, gloves, and eye and hearing protection.This candidate will perform repetitive and non-repetitive work.
