Our client in Mesquite, TX is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This is a great opportunity join a growing company The Manufacturing Engineer drives Continuous Improvement and optimization of all processes in the production area. The Manufacturing Engineer will oversee daily operations of production and manufacturing to ensure policies and procedures are followed. The key to being successful in this position will be to develop processes that will maximize safety, quality and productivity.Duties and Responsibilities:- Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.- Modify and maintain PLC-based automated conveyor systems, HMI's, and drive systems.- Understand and troubleshoot networks (Ethernet, Device Net, etc.).- Understand / knowledge of OSHA regs and required safeguards.- Entry level software development and documentation for Beckhoff PLC controls.- Understand and develop Ignition / SCADA logic.- Collaborate with other engineers to resolve issues or drive improvements.- Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.- Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.- Commit to plant safety procedures.- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.- Stay up to date /explore latest methods best practices and concepts in production management.Job RequirementsQualifications:Required:- Proven working experience as a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer or Mechanical Engineer specializing in Automation Technology.- 1-3 yrs. experience in PLC troubleshooting.- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and manufacturing processes.- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills.- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.Preferred:- Experience in Ignition programming and troubleshooting.- Knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources).- Previous experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment or Power Tools industry is a plus.- Experience working in a multi-channel retail business/industry.Education/Certification:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline preferred, but we will consider any combination of education and relevant experience.
