Akkodis is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in West Chester Township, OH.

Ideally, you will guide cross-functional teams to drive new product introductions, continuous improvement efforts, and resolve manufacturing nonconformance issues. The role involves creating and managing manufacturing processes, engineering documentation, and ensuring all products and services meet design and quality requirements.


Pay Range: $45-$52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-functional project teams focused on new product introduction, continuous improvement, and nonconformance resolution.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services meet contractual, program, design, and quality requirements.
  • Create engineering documentation, including models, drawings, routings, testing specifications, reports, and work instructions.
  • Analyze and resolve manufacturing non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
  • Troubleshoot machines and manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop optimal solutions.
  • Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes.
  • Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure compliance with applicable requirements.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing engineering support in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards.
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, or similar).
  • Proven project management experience with effective scheduling and team organization skills.


Preferred Experience:

  • Machining, press/forming, welding, brazing, heat-treating, and inspection processes.
  • Die, tool, fixture, and gauge design.
  • Minimum 3 years in the aerospace industry.
  • Experience optimizing high-mix/low-volume production.
  • Team leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Sheet metal processes.
