The goal of this role will be to utilize Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, Kanban and other continuous improvement methodologies to create a center of excellence in our Grapevine, TX facility. The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Sr. Manager of Refurbishment.Responsibilities:•Design, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing processes for refurbishing products•Lead initiatives to implement Lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Kanban, to streamline refurbishment operations•Continuously evaluate and optimize existing processes to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality•Develop and maintain detailed work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation•Train and mentor production staff on new and existing processes, tools, and technologies•Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issuesQualifications:•Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field•Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, including 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), and Six Sigma•2+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in refurbishment or remanufacturing operations•Professional experience in HVAC/R field, desired•Reliable, Energetic, and Problem Solver•Ability to think on one's feet and learn rapidly without a great deal of supervision•Must be disciplined, self-motivated, and able to meet team goals•Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)•Strong command of company's policies and procedures•A desire to continually increase your knowledge of the industries we serve; and, products, services and processes our company can produce•The employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use ladders; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel surfaces, parts and tools; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
