Job Description
Duro-Last Roofing, the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a Manufacturing Sales Representative in the Anchorage, Alaska area. The position aims to have a highly motivated individual sell Duro-Last product and services within this territory. This role typically averages a commission of $50,000 per year, which is why we are open to the representative carrying other lines. The Manufacturing Sales Representative will report to the territory’s Director of Sales.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and support a network of independent roofing contractors to increase sales of Duro-Last in the assigned regional territory.
- Call on a base of architects and roofing consultants that are located in the assigned territory with the goal of having Duro-Last specified on projects.
- Develop, educate, and follow-up with building owners in the assigned territory to promote the purchase of Duro-Last products for their buildings.
- Responsible for cold calling of potential customers.
- Responsible for weekly call reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required or equivalent work experience.
- Five years of outside sales experience required.
- Background in and knowledge of construction and/or roofing systems.
- Duro-Last Roofing background preferred.
- Must be able to walk roofs as needed to assist contractors with roof layout.
- Must be organized and self-motivated.
- Must have outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel frequently in the assigned territory as required.
