Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as liaison with engineering for new project launches and optimize product flow through standard work
  • Continuously monitor manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to product specifications and lead cost reduction and quality improvement initiatives
  • Identify manufacturing processes for potential outsourcing, select capable suppliers, and ensure quality of supplier-produced parts
  • Review and produce routing for production processes, analyze and optimize workflows
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety standards, and regulations
  • Support staff and material schedules to meet customer requirements
  • Resolve and document technical problems impacting performance, cost, or schedule
  • Perform capacity planning and reinforce company policies, procedures, and work practices

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel to supplier locations to assess and evaluate capabilities as required
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial, mechatronics, or process) with thorough knowledge of machining, assembly, and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles, production processes, quality control, and equipment maintenance.
  • Strong mathematical skills including statistics and calculus.
  • LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma training preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as required.
