Our mission is to engage customers and empower makers to deliver precision.Job DescriptionJob Purpose: Responsible for bridging Sales and Service with Operations, resulting in improved on-time delivery, customer satisfaction and profitability.Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:•Provide exceptional customer service to customers defined by Defense, Medical, or Commercial primary product codes.•Serves as project launch lead for assigned projects- from start of project to completion.•Evaluates part samples and/or customer design documentation for critical characteristics/function;•Participates in advanced part quality planning activities;•Creates three-dimensional part models to support up/downstream design data requirements;•Participates in contract review•Establish defined work instructions•Ensure quality and delivery requirements are clearly defined to the production team•Creates and maintains ERP part data in support of manufacturing•Define job requirements for procurement of needed materials•Investigates, coordinates and completes engineering change requests with appropriate groups•Monitor status on all orders•Remain informed of all Lean initiatives and champion continuous improvement efforts where appropriate.•Continue current departmental efforts to reduce cost•Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.•Maintain a clean and safe working environment (i.e., 6S).•Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance in conjunction with the sales and management teams.•Participate in the development and administration of new project proposals.•Execute all responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards as established by company policies and procedures.Qualifications•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required•Knowledge of manufacturing methods and logistics administration preferred•Experience with ERP and CAD software preferred•Technical expertise to quote, plan, monitor, and evaluate work orders•Excellent verbal and written communication skills•Experience in Microsoft Office Suite•Team player who enjoys challenging situationsAdditional InformationGTC Machining, LLC offers a drug-free work place along with a competitive salary and benefits package.
