Cibes|Symmetry is currently recruiting for Manufacturing Maintenance at our Roanoke, IL Facility.
This is a 1st shift position: 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays for a few hours depending on our workload.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities
•Performs preventative maintenance, operates, and tests machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions; checking blueprints, repair manuals, or catalogs, as necessary
•Dismantles and troubleshoots machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools
•Performs routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, gears, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions.
•Repairs, cleans, and lubricates machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices
•Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment
•Plans and lays out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams
•May align and balance new equipment after installation
•May perform general handyman repairs or maintenance on the building, including grounds maintenance
•Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures
•Maintains a clean, safe work area free of foreign materials
•Participates in training and cross-training efforts as needed
•Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS
•Industrial maintenance technician or mechanic experience
•Ability to read, understand, and apply information from manuals or catalogs
•Properly use a wide variety of tools (manual and power)
•High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
QUALIFICATIONS
•Demonstrated high level of quality in workmanship
•Basic math, reading, and reasoning skills
•Ability to communicate effectively, written and oral
•Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions
•Demonstrated multi-tasking ability to adjust priorities based on manufacturing needs
•High attention to detail
•Ability to work independently or with a team
Supervisory responsibilities
•This position does not include supervisory responsibilities physical demands
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
This position is located in an industrial/production environment, with exposure to:
•Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm's length, stoop, kneel, and crouch
•Regularly required to stand for long periods of time
•Arm-Hand Steadiness - The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
•Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
•Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
•Frequently required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and balance
•Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range
•Noise levels typical of a manufacturing production environment
•Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
•Intermittent exposure to cold or heat
•Ability to work in proximity to moving, mechanical parts and machinery
Pay depending on experience.
All candidates must pass a drug screen and necessary tests for position.
