Who We Are
AGC Electronics America (AGCEA) manufactures high-purity Silicon Carbide (SiC) Ceramics materials and CMP Slurries for the semiconductor industry. We also serve as a distributor for other AGC Electronics Materials manufactured in Japan and elsewhere. We are headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon, USA, and are a division of AGC Flat Glass North America.
What We Offer
- Monday – Friday, 2:15 – 10:45 PM
- $72,400.00 - $92,400.00 annually

About The Role
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of 5+ years direct industrial supervisory manufacturing experience
- Basic understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
- Basic Blueprint reading skills required
- Mechanically inclined and understand basic math
- Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills
- Ability to provide constructive feedback to operators
- Sound decision making and time management skills
- Strong understanding of product quality standards & requirements
- Basic MS Office computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or other related degree
- 5+ years demonstrated Supervisory experience in semiconductor operation
- Experience in a “Lean” environment and semiconductor industry
- Working knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing employment practices / rights / safety
Responsibilities:
- Assist the operators with problems as they occur (Root Cause and Quality Concerns)
- Must effectively evaluate applicants resumes and complete interviews
- Familiar with work centers to give effective guidance
- Follow and enforce all company Policies, Safety standards, and practices
- Balance the workflow to ensure the best and safe use of capacity and staff
- Aid in management of consumables
- Leads 6S activities and helps drive continuous improvement efforts in the area
- Ensures on time delivery by effectively managing throughput, productivity, and staffing level
- Promotes and supports continuous process improvement activities
- Identify constraints and devises mitigation plans to eliminate bottlenecks
- Provides employees with the training and tools needed to improve efficiency and productivity
- Works proactively with other departments and provides support as needed to ensure customer needs are met
- Builds productive working relationships with internal and external partners (i.e. planning, quality assurance, outside vendors, etc.)
- Supports new product introduction activities as needed to ensure new products are brought online smoothly and efficiently
- Performs time and attendance tasks for assigned employees including maintaining accurate attendance records, approving timecards and time off requests
- Executes timely completion of annual/new hire performance reviews, following up on one-on-one with each employee at least quarterly, and revising and/or adjusting goals as necessary
- Performs coaching and disciplinary activities as necessary
- Ensures direct reporting employees understand and follow safety guidelines
- Creating team schedules and delegating tasks to ensure proper workflow
- Continuously monitoring employee performance and identifying areas of improvement
- Addressing any concerns or issues identified by team members
- Providing training and overseeing of new employees during their introductory period to get them up to speed on the policies and procedures within the company
- Proficient in Microsoft programs and ERP system
- Tracking and monitoring employee performance through ERP data
