The Brake Press Operator is responsible for operating brake press machines to bend and form metal sheets into precise shapes and sizes for aerospace components. This role requires a strong understanding of metalworking processes, the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, and a commitment to quality and precision.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate brake press machines, including CNC brake presses.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and work orders to determine bending requirements.
• Adjust machine settings to achieve precise bends and tolerances.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments as needed.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and conformance to aerospace standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating brake press machines, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing standards and quality control procedures.
