Job Summary:

Serves as a Senior Manufacturing Associate in extrusion operations.

The successful candidate will perform extrusion press operations, train new associates, and ensure adherence to production schedule. The Senior Associate will be expected to ensure product meets required specifications, identify and solve problems in the production process and manage crew and resources. The Senior Associate will be expected to coach and mentor new associates in their area of operations and provide training as needed. The Senior Associate will be expected to expedite and lead manufacturing operations in accordance with established procedures, guidelines and customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and execute extrusion operations and ensure adherence to production schedule.
Follows verbal and written procedures in operating complex production equipment. Performs processing steps and accurately completes appropriate production documentation.
Monitor processes using automated production systems and controls with limited supervision.
Demonstrate general knowledge of standard manufacturing practices and equipment.
Conduct training for less experienced personnel.
Utilize knowledge to improve operational efficiency and adherence to Safety procedures.
Serve as the extrusion press technical lead and monitor process operations to ensure compliance with specifications and operational efficiency.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Requires a combination of both technical and social skills.
Serves as the primary production lead for specific extrusion press.
BA/BS or Associate’s degree & 5+ years of manufacturing experience; or 10+ years of related manufacturing experience.
Proven track record of success in a fast-paced production environment at a manufacturing company preferably in area lead positions.
The successful candidate will be able to document and communicate their technical and operational observations clearly and efficiently
Ability to collaborate fluidly and built trust with peers, supervisors and cross functional support groups required.

Working in the presence of fork trucks, overhead lift and other manufacturing machinery
