Job Description

• Develop mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing process plans utilizing technical data packages, sketches, and CAD files
• Generate bill of materials to be used for material estimates.
• Assist production control with defining manufacturing routing sequence.
• Plays a vital role in bid/no-bid decisions by comparing technical requirements to capability/capacity.
• Perform task analysis and labor estimates for mechanical and/or electrical product realization activities.
• Analyze potential efforts to ensure in house capability is adequate for success.
• Work with CNC programmers, machinist, electrical leads, quality, and production control to capture special tooling needs.
• Collaborate with CNC programmers to define work holding plans so fixture cost are incorporated into estimates.
• Collaborate with electrical lead and quality to define test plans.
• Perform Make/Buy decisions during BOM compilation.
• Communicate and coordinate drawing changes with internal and external customers.
• Work with purchasing to address questions from vendors performing outside processes.

Qualifications Required:

• Must have a minimum of 10 years of hands-on manufacturing experience in the Aerospace industry
• Familiar with sheet metal fabrication, machining, painting, electrical fabrication, and welding operations
• Familiar with welding operations and their associated qualifications
• Must be able to interpret drawings, MIL-STDs, welding specifications, and application specifications.
• 5 years of experience preparing estimates for machine shop and/or electrical operations
• Effective problem-solver
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience operating in a AS9100 environment.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP software.

Minimum Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
