Job Description
SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of this position is to support engineering initiatives related to lean manufacturing, testing/evaluation, and quality assurance. He/she will work closely with a manufacturing engineer and/or quality engineer to complete assigned projects. Project work will focus on product throughput, lean processes, cost reduction, performance/endurance qualification testing, and other related activities. This role will be a blend of computer work using CAD/MS Office tools and time spent gathering information on the plant floor. This position will report into the Product Engineering team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform work measurement studies and equipment performance analyses to identify productivity improvement opportunities.
- Conduct process development and continuous improvement projects under mentorship of engineering staff
- Support the implementation of new equipment through process validations.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks in support of assembly line layout projects
- Support Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in production and supply chain issues
- Represent Manufacturing Engineering on cross-functional teams/activities as assigned
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with engineering software is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
