What has been a "sleepy" industry for decades is now at the epicenter of sustaining the global economy.Role OverviewMytra is excited to grow our manufacturing footprint from our little warehouse, prototype stall build into a proper, industrialized manufacturing operation - and we need an experienced and energetic manufacturing engineering team to do it! Our team is focused on fast iteration and learning, so you'll not only have the opportunity to have your designs built quickly, test them, and improve our product and teams, but also be a part of bringing a concept to full-scale mass production.As our first dedicated Manufacturing Engineer, you'll develop the process, equipment and factory that produces our bots and structures at scale. You'll collaborate closely with our hardware engineering and system integrations teams to prototype, productionize and deploy manufacturing solutions that help our business grow and meet the exceptional customer demand we have.Example ProjectsYou will be responsible for designing and deploying the machine that builds the machineEvaluate the hardware design, and develop manufacturing build process and plans for robotsPlan and design manufacturing layouts and facilities for assembly and fabrication of robotic systems and structuresEvaluate, develop, and improve our business processes & workflows.Propose, develop, and lead implementation on new and continuous process improvement initiativesDesign and oversee the procurement and installation of new equipmentTroubleshoot and resolve production issues and delays to achieve our scaled rampRecommend and develop changes to product designs to enhance the efficiency of product assembly and manufacturingWorking with suppliers to advise and develop various manufacturing technologies, including stamping, welding, assembly and plastics manufacturing processesThe Ideal Candidate+7 years practical experience in manufacturing: you're very comfortable with design for manufacturing, including mechanical, electrical and robotics integrationYou have experience with designing and deploying assembly lines or other manufacturing equipment and systemsYou are able to conduct industrial engineering analysis to ensure we can achieve our scaling goalsYou are excited about working on an immature project, growing together, and shaping the future of the company.CAD software: Solidworks or CATIA for equipment design, AutoCAD or similar for layout planningUncertainty isn't scary, and you're willing to realize mistakes and pivot.You can convey complex ideas and technical concepts to a diverse audience, including technicians and associates building the productOpenness, inquisitiveness, and constant ambition are important values.Strong project management and capability to execute on timeAlso helps if you have:Experience with various manufacturing technology, including roll forming, stamping, plastics manufacturing processesUndergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalentExperience bringing a product from concept to mass-productionExperience laying out a factory from scratchThe pay range for this role is:110,000 - 180,000 USD per year (Mytra)
