Enjoy competitive benefits, a supportive work environment, and every other Friday off to rechargeThe Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor is responsible for making sure that all projects and work orders that run through manufacturing, are correct, and clearly defined with a plan on how they will be manufactured and move through the various departments. This position will quickly react to help problem solve any work stoppage or potential issues that come up during production and work to prevent future repeat occurrences.
Job Duties
- Lead the Manufacturing engineering, Production control and Continuous improvement teams.
- Lead manufacturing review of product prior to release:
- Provide consultation to the manufacturing and engineering team to improve manufacturability, reduce cycle times and improve manufacturing flow.
- Review engineering prints and configurations, looking at manufacturing capabilities and proper configurations.
- Setup proper work order routings and estimate times to ensure correct manufacturing workflows.
- Ensure work orders and purchase requisitions are created accurately and in a timely manner.
- Responsible for resolving manufacturing issues thru collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Lead and participate in Level 10 meetings per EOS guidelines.
- Initiate, lead, and implement continuous improvement activities to achieve profitability and improve quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
- BS or equivalent experience in Mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering or related technical field.
- 10+ years related manufacturing experience
- 5+ years leading people
- Ability to travel (domestic and internationally) and obtain a passport.
- To meet the requirements for government contract work and work in a restricted facility, candidates must adhere to specific criteria set by federal regulations. This includes: 1) a U.S. citizen (whether born or naturalized); 2) a lawful permanent resident of the United States; or 3) a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C.
Skill Requirements
- Proficient with manufacturing planning software.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Lead problem solving activities.
- Ability to think on your feet and make decisions based on information at hand
Physical Requirements
- Must have the ability to lift and/or carry 45 lbs.
- Ability to work at computer station for long periods of time.
