Based in our Elyria, Ohio location, you will lead the implementation of automated manufacturing technologies and processes in a fast-paced CNC machining environment. You will design, plan, and deliver manufacturing system solutions that optimize cost, capital investment, and performance of highly automated machining cells. In collaboration with our product planning, engineering, manufacturing engineering and operations teams, you will design and develop processes that are designed for optimal performance. This position will research and monitor advanced manufacturing technology trends and appropriately integrate validated technology solutions into our global manufacturing facilities.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:
* Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address current manufacturing challenges across multiple product lines.
* Coordinate and manage projects to design, procure, qualify and implement equipment and manufacturing processes while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
* Optimize processes associated with material/information flow, part workholding, tooling, and CNC programs to manufacture products to drawing dimensions and tolerances in an efficient manner.
* Develop and advance new manufacturing technologies from supporting business case through application in a relevant production environment.
* Serve as technical support for assigned manufacturing responsibilities.
* Perform design/manufacturing process FMEA activities, and determine root cause of failures using statistical methods (e.g. Design of Experiment, Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis, A3).
* Facilitate and participate in kaizen events, workshops, and value stream mapping exercises to identify waste elimination opportunities in various processes and recommend improvement actions.
* Other duties as assigned.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
* Four (4) year technical degree plus three (3) years related experience (intern/co-op experience will be considered) OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Appropriate knowledge, demonstrated competence, and experience in manufacturing machining technologies and related industries.
* Experience with capital project planning and execution
* Good organizational, project management, and presentation skills to interact with all levels within the organization and with suppliers and customers.
* Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize and solve simple and complex problems in manufacturing system design
* Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:
* Experience in optimizing manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Experience with equipment and process layouts
* Experience with solid modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks) and related tools
* Experience with fixture design
* CNC programming experience with a 3D CAM software
* Understanding of Design for Manufacturing and Automation
* Practitioner of LEAN manufacturing and application of LEAN tools.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
* Ability to work independently without supervision
* Ability to collaborate on a cross-functional team
