The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Essential Functions

- Generate manufacturing documentation for new products. To include BOM, routers, drawing
- Update current manufacturing work instructions, drawings, package labeling, and test procedures
- Develop process improvements, generate new tooling and fixtures
- Implement Lean improvements
- Write, review and sign all engineering documentation
- Train manufacturing personnel as part of introducing new products/processes from the engineering phase to the production floor
- Generate documentation and initiate validation of production methods
- Provide engineering support and expertise in the investigation of nonconformances and CAPA
- Support manufacturing, documentation and quality personnel in ISO 13485, GMP controlled environment
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify and implement process improvements
- Manage the Preventative Maintenance (PM) system
- Troubleshooting and problem solving
- Provide support to other US production site located in PA
- Train and mentor Junior Manufacturing Engineer

Required Education and Experience
- Must have a four-year degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
- Must have worked in a manufacturing environment with some experience with product and/or process development.
- A mechanical background is necessary.
- Auto Cad, Solid Works, ERP or MRP experience is required.
- Medical device manufacturing experience desired. Design Transfer and plastic/molding experience.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office and Teams environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in a technical area.
- 5-10 years related experience
Supervisory Responsibility This position will oversee the Jr Manufacturing Engineer.
Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Travel 10% travel to US production plant in PA and some international travel necessary.
