Join the EvolutionPosition SummaryThe Manufacturing Engineer will support, plan, design, coordinate and improve the manufacturing processes of a wide array of high precision industrial and automation products.Essential FunctionsDesign and develop new fixtures, test equipment and process improvements to increase the efficiency and reliability of the assembly or machining processHands-on assembly of electro-mechanical products, programming and operation of manufacturing equipmentDevelop training methodology and assist with the technical training of production personnelAssist with troubleshooting and root cause analysis and resolution of problems that occur on the production floorProvide manufacturing advice and guidance to engineering and manufacturing departments regarding product fabrication, assembly, and testingInvestigate and propose manufacturing improvement projects using engineering and business analyticsDevelop and write new work instructions and procedures to document the proper manufacturing processesMaintain and repair existing fixtures and associated documentationProvide support and implementation of equipment upgrades and improvements Assist with the physical layouts of manufacturing cells and assembly areas, acquire information and prepare feasibility studies for purchase or building of new equipmentProvide timely and effective development of manufacturing standards and process specifications to secure achievement of manufacturing and cost objectivesConfer with workers in other departments such as sales, marketing, engineering and administration to provide technical information and implementation of operating procedures and to resolve system malfunctionsDetermine parts supply, maintenance tasks, safety procedures, and service schedule required to maintain machines and equipment in prescribed conditionAdditional DutiesProvide support and implementation of equipment upgrades and improvementsAssist with the physical layouts of manufacturing cells and assembly areas and acquires information and prepares feasibility studies or justifies purchase or building of new equipmentProvide timely and effective development of manufacturing standards and process specifications to secure achievement of manufacturing and cost objectivesConfer with workers in other departments such as sales, marketing, engineering and administration to provide technical information and implementation of operating procedures and to resolve system malfunctionsParticipate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay apprised of new developments in fieldAs assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to mechanically design, layout and detail shop blueprints using Solidworks and/or Autocad programsSkilled at using MATLAB, EXCEL, Word Processor and other computer programs to develop, record, report on, and analyze test data Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsWrite routine reports and correspondenceEffectively speak before groups of customers or employees of organizationAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volumeSkilled at applying concepts of basic algebra and geometryMinimum QualificationsBachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Industrial EngineeringUp to two years related experienceEquivalent combination of education and experience may be consideredMust be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
